IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Please accept my apologies for the recent difficulties that the site has experienced and the loss of some links and images. I am doing my best to resolve these issues, but I am just one person using my spare time to keep this site running for you, so please bear with me.

Ultimately, time allowing, I hope to have a more complete, improved site by the end of 2015, so PLEASE BEAR WITH ME.

In the meantime, if there is a particular page, topic or poem that you have lost access to and need, please email me at angelaspoems@googlemail.com and I shall be happy to prioritise that part of the site and email you when it's ready for full use again.

Many thanks to all of those who have encouraged me to continue building this site over the past 4 or 5 years. I promise to persevere.

THANKYOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND SUPPORT

Simplest Nativity Play Ever

The Simplest Nativity Play Ever

This 25 minute nativity play script is narrated entirely in rhyme, and is written in such a way that up to 21 actors can have lines to say, or the narrator can say any or all of them as part of the story instead. This nativity script is therefore: adaptable to any cast size and […]

God’s Promises

This rhyming Christian inspirational poem is filled with God’s bible promises.     I looked at my day in the morning And said “Lord, I cannot get through it” “My child,” came the heavenly whisper “My promises will help you do it”

Easter: Just for me?

I have often heard the following questions.  In fact I have asked them myself………. What has Easter got to do with me? Why is it relevant? Why did Jesus have to die anyway? This poem is the answer to my own questioning.  I hope that it makes Easter more relevant to you too.

Full Christmas story

The Full Christmas Story

This Christmas poem was purpose written to be used at the end of my rhyming Christmas nativity play “Children’s Nativity Story” and reminds us that the birth of the baby Jesus was just the beginning of the story of Jesus.

A Poem With Purpose

An Encouragement Poem This encouragement, list poem is creatively written to include a list of metaphors and is a lovely encouragement to someone who doesn’t recognise their own value and purpose……   What is a poem if no-body reads it? What is a favour if no-body needs it? What is a present, if no-body gives? […]

A Poetic Nature Trail

A Poetic Nature Trail   This children’s poem is full of alliteration and word play, with some hyperbole (exaggeration for effect) and similes and metaphors.  The poem is deliberately written to be ‘performed’ by a teacher, as if on a nature trail, with the purpose of encouraging children that they could be undiscovered poets.

Ministry of Defence Calling!

VROOP VROOP! Red alert! Aliens have landed. Their spaceship is on fire…. It looks like they are stranded.

Laughter and Progress : Best Friends Forever

This story poem uses word play to make the case  that it’s good for education to be fun and that laughter helps us to make progress, whilst remembering that we must get the balance right too.  Read it, first of all as a story about Laughter and Progress as two living beings.  Then read it […]

Bradley Mulladley Mulloon

Bradley Mulladley Mulloon This is known as a nonsense poem for obvious reasons!  One of my favourite poets is Dr Seuss who wrote “The Cat in The Hat”, and I’ve tried to copy his style here by repeating one rhyming phoneme all the way through, spelt in the same way.  Dr Seuss often did […]
